Something that bugs me,
and I KNOW bugs non-Jesus believers, is when people advertise
themselves as Christians but don’t live the life they should.
Hey this is Debbie
Griffith with Everyday Matters.
It’s like if you saw a
sign advertising a grocery store but when you walked in the door you
found out it was really only a hardware store. You’d be bugged
because what was advertised was not what was offered. Well don’t
you think the world feels the same way about people who advertise
Christianity through bumper stickers, jewelry, t-shirts and church
attendance but live a life that shows condemnation and selfishness? One
bumper sticker I’ve read says; “I’m not perfect just
forgiven.” My non-Christian friend Tara is irritated with this
statement because she thinks it gives Christians a license to treat
people however they feel because they can get forgiveness later. As
Jesus believers we need to examine who we are and follow Titus 2:1
having the character and right living that identifies us as true
Christians…everyday.
