After college I had a roommate who was always saying, “I wish I knew what God was trying to tell me!” Yeah no kidding but who can know the mind of God?

Hey this is Debbie Griffith with Everyday Matters.

I realize now that He’s always trying to tell us the same thing; His Word is true, He can be trusted and we should follow and obey Him. I was reading Romans Chapter 11 the other day and verse 34 really struck me; “For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has [ever] been His counselor?” I guess what struck me is that God’s plan really is best and He doesn’t need me as His counselor and adviser. I wrote in my journal, “Debbie, God is waiting until you’re ready and ‘Why-Why-Why’ will get you nowhere.”

God wants our trust, not our questions. And God doesn’t need our counsel in order to work; He needs our faith…everyday.
