Be
in the Word everyday!
I
tell people
all the time not to worry about the amount they read but to just
READ! Read a couple of Proverbs (they’re so deliciously filled
with wisdom) OR read a Psalm everyday OR start with one of the
Gospels and read a chapter. I think you get my point, that in order
to really LIVE your life strong you need to be fed by God’s Word!
And
when
you’re ready purchase a small 3x5 inch memo book which will
be
your “manna book.” This is the place you’ll write down God’s
Words of encouragement and Truth for your everyday life. Again, it’s
not the amount you write; it’s simply about being still and writing
a verse or promise from God to encourage you in your day.
It’s
so fun
for me to go back and read all my little “manna books.” Most of
them have scripture promises and questions from God to me such as: “Debbie,
trust in Me to take care of you.” “Will you obey
Me with your whole heart?” “When you are weak; I AM strong.”
“Do you not realize all things will work together for good because
I love you and you know Me?” And my favorite, “I love you; my
little lamb and I will never leave or forsake you.”
God
has so
many wonderful things to tell you. Go to Him! Run to Him!
I
love this
new system I found, for reading through the Bible, on the Ransom
Fellowship website: It’s called; Bible Reading Program for
Shirkers and Slackers. Margie Haack’s, Notes from Toad Hall
is also an excellent read.

Click
on the words, Shirkers and Slackers Bible Study Guide, to get a copy
and system for reading through the Bible that’s fun and free.
OR
you can try
reading the One or Two Year Bible
which is divided into
7 to 10 minute daily readings. You get just what you need; a piece
of the Old and New Testament, a slice of the Psalms and a bite out of
Proverbs. It's a great way to stay healthy and adequately
nourished...everyday. Visit

to
order.
My
friend Mary's pick for staying fit and strong is the Our Journey
Daily Devotional. She says, "Each day's devotional
includes a Bible reading, a challenge, application helps, and journal
prompts. "Just what I need to dig a little deeper..."
Visit www.rbc.org
for your daily online dose, or go to
www.walkintheword.com
to order the monthly journal for a
donation of
any amount.
My
friend Mike says this: Another
good source for lazy people is
http://dailyaudiobible.com.
A guy named Brian
Harden reads through the
Bible and presents it as a pod cast for the reading
challenged.”
