Author Debbie

Debbie Griffith is a storyteller at heart—whether through her one-minute radio feature, Everyday Matters, or her writing. Since 2006, she has shared real-life insights on faith, weaving Scripture into the everyday moments of life. Her voice reaches audiences across the U.S., Canada, and Moody Radio Network on hundreds of Christian radio stations.

Debbie grew up in the woods of Northern Minnesota living off the land and producing pure maple syrup with her family. She would rehearse her Judy Garland songs in the family’s Nordic Ski Lodge (Maplelag Resort) dreaming of being a Broadway star. She received a BA in theater/communications/teaching which brought great opportunities but nothing like the role of being a wife to Dan and a mother to four sons which has brought on a “daughter” and two grandchildren. Debbie and Dan live in The Icebox of the Nation.

In 2017, Debbie faced an unexpected turning point—a DUI that felt like the end of ministry but became a story of grace. Owning her journey, she wrote Orange is the New Blessing: Stories on How God is Always Good Even When We’re Not, a book born from redemption, resilience, and the unwavering goodness of God.

Debbie wants you to know that you’re not alone and encourages you through her stories on marriage, parenting, insecurities, forgiveness, anxiety/depression, and loss but through it all there’s always God’s peace and hope. Debbie’s message is clear: no matter how messy life gets; God’s grace is bigger. She inspires readers to see the blessing in every season. God is a Redeemer of ALL things. Nothing is wasted with Him.
