Thursday Matters
Everyday Waiting
I wait on: words. I wait for emails. I wait on texts. I wait on calls. And I wait for conversations. I find myself waiting on others’ words and what they have to say, even if they’re words from Jesus. But truly I need to wait on God Himself and His Word, first.
“Wait’ and ‘hope’ are two words in scripture that weave together into one binding rope; in fact, they are often interchanged.” What I am waiting for reveals where my heart’s hope truly lies. For example, waiting on another’s words before God’s Word can reveal my unbelief in God to be my priority, my passion, and my power of life. Where is my hope? To remain in complete isolation from others isn’t healthy either but “others” should not be my main priority. Priority of His Presence brings to life the joy of His gifts. God says: “Wait and watch for Me. Love Me. Trust Me. Desire Me. Worship will flow as I hold you close and you hold close to Me. Look and you’ll see Me, never leaving you and always loving you…everyday.
