Everyday Is Anything Too Hard for God
On our chalk board I have written Genesis 18:14, “Is anything too hard for God?" I pass by this chalkboard on the way to our bedroom and on the way to the outdoor world. It's a comfort. Every. Single. Time. Because sometimes I think it might be too hard, for ME. My anxiety swells up because circumstances seem impossible or overwhelming. Relationships are difficult or fractured. People I love are hurting emotionally or physically or both.
But there’s ALWAYS hope. Hope is the belief; it will get better. God is good but did you know that the Hebrew word for "good" (TOWB) can be translated to meaning “better?" So, think about it! God is better, better than anything or anyone! You may understand that God is good or maybe even have feelings that tell you He is good but the lack of being in control can make it very difficult to trust God and surrender.
BUT surrender is hopeful because where human control ends, faith in God begins. I've come to realize that the opposite of faith isn't doubt but control. It’s giving ALL to God…everyday.
